This classic album was originally release on Philips records in 1970 and was Harry Beckett's first album as bandleader.

It occupies the 'time-no-changes' area of relative freedom explored by the late 'sixties Miles Davis Quartet, also using rock Latin/R&B and boogaloo rhythms and electric piano on some tracks.

Now a much sought after collectors item (original copies now sell for around £100 !) the line-up includes the cream of British jazz players, Alan Skidmore, Mike Osborne, John Surman (who was specially flown over from Belgium for the session), the Gary Burton influenced vibes player Frank Ricotti, pianist John Taylor and John Webb on drums.

Harry Beckett is a well respected member of the British jazz scene, first coming to the UK from Barbados in 1954. He played alongside Charles Mingus in the film All Night Long made in 1961 and was a long-serving member of Chris MacGregor's Brotherhood Of Breath and Graham Collier's various outfits.

He has recently been working with trombonist Annie Whitehead's Rude.
