Filmed at the legendary Cluny in Newcastle in the run up to Christmas 2006 the Daintees are reunited and of course in fine fettle in front of a buoyant home crowd.
This DVD captures the Full Concert and a shed load of extras including an in depth interviews back stage with all the band and special guests on the night and for the completists there is even footage of the guys playing a concert the night before in support of a charity. The footage from that gig is upfront and personal and the band performs on a stage almost the size of someone’s front room but the crowd are no less appreciative of this fine off the cuff appearance.
The 2 disc package is now available for the price of a single DVD and you can purchase it directly by going to

SONGS FOR TIBET (SFTCD101)
The Art of Peace Foundation announced today that more than a dozen of the world's top contemporary musical artists have been brought together to create an album of 20 songs entitled, 'Songs for Tibet - The Art of Peace'. The project is the artists' expression of peace and support for Tibet and the Dalai Lama, and will be launched before the Olympics opens in Beijing.
Michael Wohl , the Executive Director of the Art of Peace Foundation said: "We wanted to express our support for the Tibetan people and their message of peace through music, a fundamental means of expression, at a time when the eyes of the world are on China. Within days of our request, the artists responded with an extraordinary passion and commitment by delivering new songs. This album will focus people's attention on the importance of Tibet, the gifts of its culture, and the crisis the Tibetan people are facing today."
Kate Saunders of the International Campaign for Tibet said: "We support this unique project as a heartfelt expression of solidarity with the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people at a time when the survival of Tibet's religious culture is under threat."Legendary music producer Rupert Hine, who produced the CD, said: "The commitment and enthusiasm from such a wide group of artists has been astonishing and truly heartfelt. It's been exciting orchestrating such an historic project."Michael Wohl, as a long time yoga and meditation practitioner was inspired in his quest to pull together some of the world's most famous musicians by the arrival of the Olympic flame in the USA. He said: "I felt that it was time for a positive Olympics message of peace and hope, inspired by the wisdom culture of the Tibetan people."

Double Vision In Vision is a DVD that captures two specially filmed performances of Gordon Giltrap and Raymond Burley. Although both artists have completely different styles they manage to blend both styles together effortlessly in two intimate performances filmed in late 2006 at Stickford Church and Fulston Manor. Having already recorded an album together in 2004 entitled Double Vision the next logical step was to film these two wonderful artists in concert and two specially arranged concerts were set up in late 2006. Both performances feature the two musicians bringing out the best in each other in this rare coupling.
As Gordon Giltrap’s and Raymond Burley’s schedules rarely allow them the opportunity to play together this DVD will be seen as the next best thing to actually experiencing a live concert.
The DVD contains both concerts in full and also an interview feature entitled Meet Ray and Gordon.
Pre orders are now being taken on the dedicated micro website where you can also watch a low resolution sample of the DVD
British film director Tony Palmer was recently congratulated by no lesser person than British film director Ken Russell for his documentary on the British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. The film entitled O Thou Transcendent; The Life Of Ralph Vaughan Williams which received its British broadcast debut on January 1st is now available to buy on DVD from Voiceprint. British film director Ken Russell who worked briefly with Tony in the sixties said about the film:
"The best music documentary I've seen in years - best performers, best music recording, best lighting, best visuals, and made me realise how little I knew about the man".
In the early part of the 21st century the music industry earns literally billions of dollars; its influences stretch beyond merely musical art forms and are now an integral part of many different media including Film, Television and now the new Digital and Internet industry.
In the mid-70s, at the suggestion of John Lennon, the celebrated journalist and film director Tony Palmer decided to document the "Story of Popular Music" and set about interviewing and filming all the major players in the industry at that time, past and present. Even in the mid-70s this was seen as a monumental task, but despite the scale of the undertaking, Tony Palmer made a series of films that set the standard to which all subsequent biographers and documentary makers aspired to.
The critically acclaimed All You Need Is Love was broadcast across the world between 1976 and 1981. But since that time, it has neither been repeated nor commercially released on either video or DVD.

Contained within those discs IS the 'Story of Popular Music', encompassing Ragtime, Blues, Jazz, Vaudeville, The Musical, Folk, Swing, Country and Western, Rock 'n' Roll and beyond, and includes interviews with some of the major names of the past 50+ years including John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jimi Hendrix, Stephen Sondheim, Benny Goodman, Bing Crosby, Mike Oldfield, The Beach Boys, Tina Turner, Sam Phillips, Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie, Richard Rodgers, Roy Rogers, Benny Goodman, Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, Phil Spector, Bill Monroe, Bill Graham, Bill Wyman, Frank Zappa, Eric Clapton and many many more. It has frequently been described as the "definitive music documentary", and is regarded just as highly today as 'cult viewing' as it was over 30 years ago when it was first broadcast.
