“a document of foundation and roots…” Lowlife magazine/UK

In the realm of the hungry ghosts: Originally released in the UK in 1986 on the seminal industrial label Third Mind records. The album is a collection of Attrition’s rare compilation appearances and unreleased material from 1982–84.
This version is totally remastered by mainman Martin Bowes, with redesigned artwork, and includes a bonus 4 tracks from Third Mind’s Future Tense compilation of ’86…

<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--><!--[endif]--> Highlights include In your hand (from Crass records Bullshit Detector series) Dreamsleep (from the legendary Elephant Table album – the album from 1983 that defined the industrial genre..) Into the waves (the original demo version – recently reworked on Attrition’s 25 year anniversary best of collection Tearing arms from Deities…) Which hand? (recently covered by Murder Happens and En Esch of KMFDM for the upcoming Attrition tribute album..) and the Attrition darkwave classic A’dam & eva…

…."Into the waves", the second track, is a very dreamy affair, with trance like vocals and rolling string synth sounds that combine to create the desired atmosphere.."In your Hand" is a very early track (1982) with analogue synth sounds and a regimented feel so often found on early electronic records  - sends you spiralling back in time to those early Human league releases. "Marianne's Dream", a very somber and gloomy landscape, reminds me of some of the incidental music used in the 1979 version of Nosferatu, creepy stuff that's well enhanced by the tape effects….
