“Mesmerizing sequences and cymbal flurries provide a sub-mantric tapestry for Martin's growling, almost menacing voice, and for Chryss' high echoed vocals that float across the surface of the music like the white lady floating across the misty lake of the sub-conscious.”  Phil Knight/The Silverman…The Legendary Pink Dots -  writing for the Guardian newspaper. 1984

Recorded direct to stereo from the mixing desk on Attrition’s first ever tour outside of the UK…

-          In Holland with the Legendary Pink Dots in 1984.

Featuring live versions of tracks from the bands debut album, “The attrition of reason” and “Voice of God” EP….

This was the original classic attrition band line up of Martin Bowes on vocals, synths and percussion, Julia Waller (aka Chryzz) on vocals and bass guitar and Ashley Niblock on synths and keyboards…

They are joined by guest percussionist Pat Paganini from the Pink Dots on the album’s closing track, Surge and run

Across the Divide includes tracks from the april tour which were originally released in ’85 as one half of the legendary and long deleted Terminal kaleidoscope cassette album released on Dutch label Ding Dong discs…. Included here for the first time are two bonus tracks taken from the Dutch VPRO national radio broadcast from Arnhem that same year…

Remastered and repackaged with never before published archive photos by main man Martin Bowes.

“A unique brand of audio macabre... a  blend of dark melodies and dissonant accompaniments…
