A 16 track 74 minute CD album of re-collected, re-worked and re-mastered works from Attrition's 25 year career. December 8th 1980. The day John Lennon was shot was also the day of the first ever show by Attrition. At the Belgrade venue. Coventry. England.  The venue was recently knocked down to make way for a new shopping centre. Attrition is still here, and the UK's 80's gothic - industrial legends are celebrating their 25 year anniversary with the release of Tearing arms from Deities,

The first 2000 copies will be issued in a limited, numbered collectors edition gatefold digipack.

Including versions of "Two Gods", "The Mercy Machine", "I am (eternity), "Monkey in a bin", "A'dam & Eva", "Into the waves", "Cosmetic Citizen and the darkwave classic "A girl called harmony” …for which an all new video work is in preparation..

The album cover is by renowned US artist Matt Lombard (having designed the last Cradle of Filth album) and the 16 page booklet includes reworked versions of the original artwork from many of Attrition’s back catalogue…

After issuing a series of albums on cult record labels Projekt, Trisol, Big Blue, Invisible and more: Tearing arms from Deities" is the debut release on the bands own record label.

"Two Gods"...

Attrition will be touring the US in April/May for their biggest ever tour in support of this album...including their second appearance at the prestigious Convergence festival...this year held in New Orleans. On the tour they are joined by a very special guest on vocals and violin...

Emile Autumn -  a recent guest both live and in the studio with both Courtney Love and Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins.

Attrition will be returning to Europe and touring for the rest of 2006.

This anniversary year will also see a series of collectors edition re-issues of many classic Attrition albums...with new artwork and extra tracks...a tribute album with covers of Attrition songs by artists from the industrial to gothic to classical punk and metal scenes... an album of rare early material, and all new documentary soundtrack work in collaboration with Emile Autumn...
