Francis Dunnery was born in the north of England and first came to prominence in the mid eighties as the vocalist and guitarist with the rock band It Bites. Francis recorded three successful albums with It Bites and also scored a major hit single with Calling All The Heroes. Following the split from It Bites Francis moved to Los Angeles recorded his first solo album entitled Welcome To The Wild Country, which was critically well received and also spawned an American hit single. Following this album Francis left Virgin records and signed to Atlantic Records and recorded his second solo album Fearless. At this point in his life (1995) Francis was performing what was termed controversial acoustic shows the length and breadth of the UK and various points across the world including Australia alongside his friend Ashley Reakes. The shows were a somewhat cathartic experience for Francis tackling subjects such as Death Alcoholism and deeply personal feelings. All this and Ashley's X- rated poetry, which at times didn't go down too well. The album One Night In Sauchiehall Street was recorded on this acoustic tour and captured the essence of Francis Dunnery. Shortly after this album was recorded Francis was invited to join Robert Plant's band and record the album Fate Of Nations. Once out of the Plant band Francis returned to his solo career and recorded further albums and formed his own record company Aquarian Nation. Since then Francis has recorded for Lauren Hill on her multi platinum album The Mis-education of Lauren Hill and Carlos Santana on his million selling Supernatural album. Francis also continued performing solo concerts across the world?Oh yes and he has also re formed It Bites. The live acoustic album One Night Live In Sauchiehall Street contains songs such as Homegrown, Yellow Christian and the It Bites song Too Young To Remember. One Night Live In Sauchiehall Street has proved to be a consistent seller through Francis Dunnery's website. It is now newly re mastered and re issued and waiting to be discovered by a newer and larger audience.
