My Poison Never was there a road 'more' travelled than the route to Neurasthenia from Soliloquy. '100 Years Overtime' earned him the accolade of the Best New Talent in American keyboard Magazine. His journey continued with an abundance of diversity within the three CD album 'The Real World Trilogy'. The road has widened once more and yet another bright light beckons. Adam Wakemans's 4th solo album to date offers a 'band like' approach featuring Richard Brook on drums and Steve Davis on Bass. Guest appearances by Jo Knight (backing vocals) and Reg Chapman (sax) also feature on this long awaited album. Neurasthenia combines the diversity of talent that is Adam Wakeman with an evident influence that distinctly flows from his name. An amalgamation of present day and influences of phenomenon create a flavour all of it's own. It's addictive and it's clever. The more you play it the more inspired you become. It's depth and diversity creates a time for reflection and consideration which in turn, gives the listener immense motivation. Adam's focus is now on the release on this album. So much so that his recent work with artists such as Artful Dodger, Victoria Beckham and Atomic kitten have been put on the back burner. The record company (ATT Recording & Publishing Ltd) signed Adam in 200 and gave him sole artistic licence with the project, thus creating an unusual opportunity which has made the album all the more personal. Neurasthenia was mixed at the Workhouse studios, London by Ian Thompson and mastered at Abby Road studios, London, March 2002. | |
