In early 1993 Anthony was asked to participate in a series of 'Living Room' concerts for an American Radio programme called Echoes, which was expertly recorded at Anthony's home by Jeff Towne. This album has been made available because of the large number of fans who have petitioned for it's release. An essential purchase, as the stripped-back nature of the show allows Anthony's musical prowess to shine through.
Reviews

Living Room Concerts is a kind of stand alone album, in that it doesn't belong to the continuing Private Parts & Pieces series. The history behind this oddly (although all will become clear) titled album is that a Stateside radio station wanted a 'live' recording of Philips, and it basically couldn't be done how they wanted. What eventually happened was that Philips, on the night, transmitted live from his living room via the wonder of technology (and lots of cable!). He almost overcame his legendary nerves, and this album represents what Philips classes as the best tracks. There are 10 in all, with some superb songs, such as Lights On The Hill, Henry:Portraits From Tudor Times, Last Goodbye and Collections. Superbly simple, yet very evocative and the man can't half play!
