Martin Stephenson has long been considered on of Britain's finest roving singer songwriters and managing to bridge the gap between both roots music and pop music. Martin has released a number of studio and live albums over the years both as a solo artists and as a member of the ever popular Daintees.

Helen McCookerybook first came to prominece playing bass bass for Joby and the Hooligans, a notorious Brighton punk band that evolved into the Chefs, who were favourites of the late John Peel, who played their single 24 Hours constantly, making it an indie hit.

After the demise of The Chefs, Helen formed Helen and the Horns, shifting from bass to guitar and unusually, accompanying her songs only with a 3-piece horn section, and no bass or drums. Again, Peel was fascinated, and they recorded three sessions for him, signing to RCA records shortly afterwards. Helen took a break to raise her family, before an accidental encounter three years ago put her back on the stage as a solo performer. Her debut album as a solo artist, Suburban Pastoral (Big Song) was well received and she released her second album Poetry and Rhyme in late 2008 which featured Martin Stephenson on guitar.

Hamilton Square is the first album from the duo  and features all new material. The large and dedicated fan base for both artists will ensure the album is received warmly. Live dates are also expected in order to promote the album.
