I Can See The Day-Break 10. City Of The Future 10. City Of The Future As a founder member and long standing lead guitarist of Hawkwind, Huw Lloyd Langton gained a reputation as a brilliant musician. This was because he has the versatility as a rock based blues guitarist who can play slow haunting melodies just as easily as complex fast instrumentals .
Huw also worked with various other bands and musicians including Manfred Mann, Leo Sayer and Widowmaker. Later he formed his own band, The Lloyd Langton Group, but still continued to perform with Hawkwind. Hawkwind's reunion show at Brixton Academy included Huw in the line up along with Lemmy, and he also played at the Hawkwind Christmas Party at the Astoria London . He also performs solo concerts which attract good reviews. Performing on all guitars and lead vocals Huw is joined on this album by John Clark (percussion, backing vocals), and Kenny Wilson (bass). 'Time Space & LLG' has been beautifully re-mastered and features lovingly restored artwork which will appeal to both his own and Hawkwind fans. Huw is featured on the new Luther Grosvenor (Spooky Tooth, Widowmaker, Moot The Hoople), album as well as the debut release from Meads Of Asphodel. | |
