Holocaust were formed in 1977 Edinburgh, Scotland. Their first album in 1980 The Nightcomers and their second Live Hot Curry And Wine in 1981 catapulted them into the forefront that was the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). One sweaty night at the Edinburgh Nite Club the band made a heroic return to their home city. This was captured on film and releases as a video in 81. Never released since it is now available on DVD so metal heads around the world can get a eyeful of what made Holocaust so popular.

Tracks here include songs that influence the young guys that would go on to take the Metal Crown from the 80's New Wave and bring it screaming into the future. 'The Small Hours' (covered by Metallica on three separate occasions in the 1990's and also covered by the Meat Puppets), 'Heavy Metal Mania' (an all-time Metal Classic, and covered by Gamma Ray three times) and 'Death And Glory' (covered by Six Feet Under).

Holocaust are still around today releasing albums and touring. This however is a fitting tribute to the band whose early career influenced a generation and captured the hearts and souls of the next generation of mega Metal acts.
