Strange Daze '97 is an audio record of the first Space Rock Festival to take place in America. As can be expected Hawkwind take centre stage on this two disc set which presents the bands on disc one in chronological order as they appeared at the festival. The headliners however are kept for the second disc. Former Hawkwind member Nik Turner appears fronting the band Far Flung where he performs three full songs including, 25,000 feet per second, Soul Herder and Opa Loka.

As to be expected Hawkwind close the second disc with four songs from their set which include, Kauai, Assassins of Allah and Brainstorm/In Your Area.

This double disc set has not been available for some time and making this reissue all the more desirable.
