Beginnings was Trevor's first solo album recorded in 1978 for Chrysalis and is generally regarded by fans as his best solo work. On it he played all the instruments except drums.

Trevor had previously fronted the band Rabbitt who had a number of hit singles and albums and were hugely popular in their native South Africa.

Trevor's solo work impressed Yes bassist Chris Squire so much that he asked him to join the re-formed band and contribute to what would become their most successful album, 901205. Trevor co-wrote all the tracks as well as the huge hit single Owner Of A Lonely Heart.

The album was deleted a number of years ago and this is the first time it has been domestically available on CD.

Trevor later went to work with Michael Jackson and now composes film scores including 'Armageddon' and 'Enemy of the State'.
