Anthony Phillips is perhaps best known as the original guitarist in Genesis. Ant left the band in 1970 following the release of Trespass. He began his solo career in earnest in the mid seventies with the release of the album The Geese and The Ghost. Since then he has released a number of critically acclaimed albums and forged a loyal and devoted fan base

The music of Anthony Phillips has a wonderfully rich textured feel to it and while it is to be expected to occasionally sound not unlike early Genesis material it would be unfair to put Anthony Phillips into one bag. The recording career of Anthony Phillips takes in a great many styles from rock through to pop and from classical to baroque. Anthony Phillips is also recognised widely as a composer of music for film and television.

Wildlife is a compilation of highlights of the music written and recorded by Ant and Joji Hirota for television wildlife programmes. The album contains forty five tracks comprising of short and lengthier pieces. Anthony Phillips appeal is broad and his work in this field is highly regarded and as with all of Anthony’s previous albums Wildlife will appeal and delight in equal measure.
Reviews
"The strength of this album is that is creates pictures in your mind.  An odd statement maybe, but bearing in mind that this is music taken from various soundtracks for television wildlife programmes that is a very good thing.  It means that the music is able to stand up for itself, and that not having the visuals to go along with the sounds isn't a problem.  An interesting listen."
