From 1998 to 2008, the crew has featured performances by many well-known space and prog rock musicians: Daevid Allen (Gong), Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree), Hawkwind family members Simon House, Robert Calvert, Alan Davey, Richard Chadwick, Paul Hayles, & Bridget Wishart, Pete Pavli, Mike Moorcock, and more.

I do enjoy the atmosphere it creates and Thom's apparently totally improvised lyrics are just genius...
...This is another very successful Spirits Burning release and somehow Don and the guys have yet again been able to get together a very unique whole with the album's cosmic free jazz vibes and experimental touch perhaps being most characteristic elements.
