In those reflections this album was written drawing from, the unique freedom that our imagination gives us, which in turn takes us on our own journeys through friendship, honesty, love, life and dreams” Lucinda Sieger Scottish born International singer/songwriter Lucinda Sieger best known for her unique voice and version of the UK Number One dance track “40 Miles” along with her appearance on the first ever live Top of the Pops with Congress. This is an artist with passion, belief and a voice that attracts a stunning team of internationally established musicians such as world music maestos Temple of Sound, the fabulous Winston Blissett bass player with Massive Attack, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Lionel Ritchie, to mention but a few and the creative forces of Slipper (ex Loop Guru)and many others, why because she weaves a music full of magic that will last in your catalogue of favourites forever. Add a touch of Silver to your life with SILVER LIFE. Reviews Jazzwise Review - May 2006 "Talented Glaswegian singer-songwriter Lucinda Sieger put out an EP, Heart in the Sky - a lovely, shimmery record, filled iwth sparkling chords and lyrics - a few years back. Now she's back with Silver Life, an enhanced CD inspired by a stinit in Greece or, more specifically, 'the reflection of the moon rising above the night horizon over the sea in Greece'. Featuring remixes by world music maestros Temple of Sound, this new disc continues her fusion of ambient folk, jazz and dance with a series of beautifully crafted tracks that keep her honey-tinged voice to the fore. Although there's no disputing the musicianship involved - guitarist Reid Savage adds his silvery picking to the title track, while bassist Winston Blissett lends his big bottom end to 'Bread' - it is Sieger's voice that remains her unique selling point. Part Joni, part carillon, it gleams and flashes throughout." Colin Somerville, Scotland on Sunday (14th May issue) "Originally from Glasgow, Lucinda Sieger took the scenic route to her solo career, forming bands with members of electro hooligans Leftfield in the mid Eighties, coming runner up in the Alternative Miss World competition, and singing on the first ever Top Of The Pops to be transmitted live in 1991. Summer has arrived and this album is the perfect soundtrack to warm candlelit evenings spent reclining on luxurious cushions watching the sun set fade and the stars come out to play. Opener How Many Times Must It Rain? Wafts in on gently plucked guitars, lightly rolling percussion and floats off into the gentle breeze with the exquisite voice of Lucinda Sieger caressing each perfect word. Now Here We Are, Silver Life and Bread continue in a similar vein, laid back acoustic numbers that push a beautiful voice to the warm fore and let you enjoy the words as they play on the warm tunes. The remaining four tracks get remix treatment, David White turning Hollywood into a lilting summer funk workout while Temple Of Sound send Adore to the exotic locations in the sun; Slipper turn I Had A Dream into shifting shadows with beats. A fantastic singer/songwriter album that showcases quality tues, a voice to fall in love with and will transport the listener to far-flung exotic locations with the remixes. If you like to chill out with a glass of red wine and listen to beautiful sounds then this is the album to have as your soundtrack, I’ll be sinking a few extra bottles just so I can listen to this even more. Glaswegian songstress and performer Lucinda has already experienced the limelight, having hit the big time fronting dance act Congress on the first-ever live TOTP. Now combining Eastern influences with chilled out, melodic white soul, warm harmonies and totally contemporary production, Lucinda has released an album set for plundering by additional TV and film soundtrack moguls. With enlightening remixes by Temple of Sound and David White, plus co-writes with Reid Savage and Winston Blissett, this is a CD of depth and imagination. How Many Times Must It Rain and Now Here We Are, in particular, lift the spirit and spotlight the potential for Lucinda’s individual voice and poetic eye for detail. An artist for the future.
