21st Century Schizoid Band Biography

As the name implies there is a strong connection with that most cherished of progressive rock bands, King Crimson. The band was founded in 2002 and made up of former members of King Crimson. The initial aim was to play live music from the King Crimson catalogue which no longer featured in the live performances. This C.D. was the first release by the 21st Century Schizoid Band and formed the bulk of the live sets at the time.

The line up of the band was made up of the founder members of King Crimson, Mike Giles and Ian McDonald. They were joined by bassist Pete Giles and saxophonist Mel Collins. The only non former King Crimson member was Jakko Jakszyk on guitar and vocals. Founder Mike Giles was replaced in 2003 by another former King Crimson musician Ian Wallace. The band however seems to have been in limbo since the death of Ian Wallace in early 2007.
