Oasis was one of the biggest bands of the nineties securing numerous hit singles and albums and probably miles of column inches in the national press. The band was led by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher and it was the dynamic between these two siblings that helped create the whole Oasis phenomenon.
The band or more importantly Noel and Liam Gallagher despite enjoying massive commercial success both with recordings and live concerts were it seemed constantly at odds with each other with both musicians on occasion taking short breaks from the band. The band split for the final time when Noel Gallagher left following an argument with Liam Gallagher in August 2009
Peggy Gallagher is the mother of Noel and Liam and Paul Gallagher is Noel and Liam's older brother. In 1996 a book co written with British journalist and television presenter Terry Christian was published. This release is the spoken word version of the book and tells the story of Oasis and Noel and Liam Gallagher from the family perspective of Paul and Peggy Gallagher.
